Honoring Service, Tradition, and Brotherhood

Shield 23 Foundation had the pleasure of once again attending the 33rd AFFI Honor Guard Convention, Dinner, and Induction Ceremony, held this year in Rosemont and hosted by the Itasca Fire Department, where one of our Board Members proudly serves as a Firefighter and Paramedic.

We are truly grateful for the invitation to host an information table and for the opportunity to briefly speak about S23F during the business meeting. Being present at this event holds special meaning, as Russ was an Honor Guard member, making the experience both personal and deeply meaningful.

The dinner honoring the firefighters lost in 2025 was a powerful and moving tribute, reminding all in attendance of the strength, sacrifice, and unity within the fire service. We also extend heartfelt congratulations to the newly inducted Honor Guard members who now stand ready to serve their fellow firefighters during their ultimate time of need.
