A Special Gifting for a Special Fire Service Family

At Shield 23 Foundation, we will always go the extra mile to fulfill our mission. Sometimes that means presenting a Gifting in a unique location, even outside an emergency room.

1st Director Jenny had the honor of presenting a Gifting to firefighter and pump operator Steve Dorsey of the Baltimore City Fire Department and his wife, Jenna. Joining them was their friend, Karen, who served as the Liaison for this Gifting and was also a surprise guest for the presentation.

This Gifting held special meaning for Karen, as she is the widow of one of our previous Gift Recipients. Her involvement is a powerful reminder of the lasting connections and support that exist within the fire service community.

The fire service truly is a family.
