Cancer Awareness Month
On the last day of Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to share some of the new statistics the International Association of Fire Fighters and the Firefighter Cancer Support Network have released.
In 2022, of the 469 members added to the Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado, 348 died of occupational cancer. Effectively making cancer the number 1 killer of firefighters.
