Events

Events are the backbone of two of Shield 23 Foundation's Objectives: Fundraising and Awareness. We aim to engage in many ways, as evident by these prior Events: a Fall Social & Gift Basket Raffle; Restaurant Proceed Events; Third-party Fundraisers designating S23F as Beneficiary, and 50/50 Raffles. Presentations to Fire Departments and Unions;  Fire Service-related Conventions and Events; Info Tables & Media Interviews, and Community Events.

Then the year 2020 saw the arrival and impact of Covid-19. Like many NFPs our Fundraising efforts were severly affected. As we pivot and adapt to how to raise funds in the current climate, and plan our next Events, we do so with the knowledge that Firefighters/Paramedics don't rest, and unfortunately, neither does Cancer.
